Relative Pronouns

Let me have it. I realize these episodes were particularly dull! Share your comments and questions here.

Grammar podcast downloads

Hello and congratulations on a job well done! These podcasts are not dull at all. I enjoy the examples, as I am quite ignorant as to labels such as relative pronouns or object pronouns. I think that most others are also. However, with the examples you give, the meaning becomes quite clear. I think that most people learn by observing and practicing patterns rather than memorizing labels. Of course, you being a doctor, labels are quite easy for you to manage, and, therefore, probably suit you style of learning quite well. As for the rest of us, please continue with the examples. The help keep us in the game....

Now, please inform me as to how I might get itunes to download all of your podcasts or advise as to a better way of getting them all downloaded..... No matter what I say in Itunes options, it just snatches your last podcast.

Thanks again for what you do and I hope to hear from you soon about the downloads.

Downloading all podcasts

Hi Charles,

First of all, thanks so much for your positive feedback. I am going to stick to lots of examples, with just brief explanations. Much more fun for me as well.

Now, I hope I'm understanding your problem. When you subscribe to the podcast (either in iTunes, or through one of the links on the right), the most recent podcast will download, but the others should appear as well. You may then press GET ALL to the right of the podcast title.

You may also click GET to the right of the particular podcast you would like to listen to.

If you would like iTunes to do get all episodes automatically when new ones show up, just go to Preferences under iTunes in the upper toolbar. Then click on the Podcasts icon after "When new episodes are available," Choose Download all.

Podcast download problem

Hi once again, and thanks for the quick response. I might have an older version of itunes than the one you use, because I don't have either get or get all in my itunes. I did check the option for downloading all episodes, not just the new ones, but that does nothing at all; it just downloads the very latest. I had to download all the episodes one at a time. That should make you feel really nice that it was well worth it for me. These are the best I've seen bar none. Your decision to stick with lots of examples me thinks to be very wise. Your voice is very pleasant and relaxes me as I attempt to assimilate all the new material. And your examples are very clear. You can never have too many examples. This stage of language learning is, for me, a matter of practice and clarification . That is what you provide. And you do it very well!

You might take a look at the silence at the ends of some of the recordings. Some are pretty long. :-)

Thanks again for a long-sought-after language help.....

Silence

Hi Charles,

I'm sorry I couln't help with your download issue, but I'm glad you figured out a way to download them. Your positive feedback is so appreciated! It motivates me to keep going. And it is so very nice to hear after a very long 12 day run at the hosptial/clinic. TGIF. Cool

If you have any questions or feedback on the podcasts, please stop by the forums again and let me know what you think.

Regarding the silence: Yes, I've noticed I do that from time to time. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the tip.

Saludos!
